Dean's Study Abroad Support Funds
Financial Support for Short-Term Credit-bearing Study Abroad
The Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences has established a fund to provide financial support for CAS students on short-term Lehigh Study Abroad Programs. The fund is for CAS students approved for a short-term (winter or summer session) credit bearing courses led by a Lehigh faculty member(s) to enhance their learning experience.
To qualify, students must demonstrate financial need. To apply, the student must submit the Travel Grant Application along with a one-page letter of request explaining why the study abroad opportunity is important to her or his academic development and speaking to the financial need. The application must have the faculty leader signature of endorsement.
Applications will be considered after the application deadline dates: June 1 and September 21 (Winter programs) and November 1 and February 1 (Summer programs). Application with faculty endorsement and letter of request must be submitted to Jodeen Gemmel, Coordinator, Study Abroad, Office of International Affairs, 32 Sayre Drive, Coxe Hall.
Please note: If the student applying does receive financial support from the CAS Dean, he or she is not permitted to apply for any other Lehigh University need based scholarship or grant. In addition, all applicants must be an active student and any upcoming graduating seniors will not qualify to apply for the Dean's financial support (Travel Grant) for a short-term study abroad the summer after they graduate.
Best Wishes on your submission...
